Once known as the ‘three coconut island’, this romantic retreat is a haven of relaxation, peace and tranquility surrounded by clear blue waters and covered with tropical plants and coconut palms.
The carefully preserved natural beauty of the island has been sensitively integrated with tastefully appointed accommodations and guest areas to give the resort a stylish yet residential feel. The luxurious Spa, wide variety of cuisine, choice of water sports and diving make the resort a complete destination. Guests are met at the airport and assisted to the docking jetty where the resort’s speedboats are available at all times. The distance from Malé International Airport is covered in approximately 15 minutes. On arrival at the resort, all guests are received and escorted to the ceremonial pavilion leading to the main lobby.
Tropical palms and flowering foliage line up the sandy walkways and access areas. Thatched umbrellas with comfortable chaise lounges are set up at all times for guests to use. Clear sandy beaches frame the island and the clear waters of the lagoon stretch as far as the eye can see. Walking in knee-deep clear aquamarine waters with white sand at your feet is a feeling that can only be experienced at the Taj Exotica, because this is one of the only clear sand lagoons in the Maldives.

Each of the resort’s luxuriously designed 62 villas is furnished in natural tones and textures. The warmth of wood, the fragrance of flowers and the soft glow of lamps and candles create an intimate ambience in the villas. Expansive ocean views and a soothing breeze relax the senses.
All the villas are palm-thatched, built of finest natural wood finishes on the exteriors and floors and are delightfully appointed in classic Maldivian style. At 24 Degrees guests dine at a time of their choosing. This 90-seater restaurant offers guests a choice to dine inside the split-level restaurant or choose amongst the seating on the beach. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 24 Degrees Dining offers a variety of pan Asian to continental flavours.
- The Deep End
The Deep End is open for lunch and dinner and offers an extensive a la carte menu that includes a choice of seafood, meats, fish and game with Mediterranean flavours. A special menu for vegetarians will be on offer and the choice of deserts, wines and cigars makes the dining experience perfect.
- Equator Bar
The Equator has the mood and music with the right amount of vibrancy. Service would be deluxe and friendly. Sundowners and ice-cold margaritas, wine coolers and cocktails make the place to be in whether it is before dinner or after dinner. Guests can choose from a variety of traditional vintages and new world wines which are a part of the master list specially put together for the resort on display in the wine room attached to the bar. For the cigar smokers, there will be a choice of Cuban cigars. The duo at the bar plays a repertoire of blues and jazz.
