Welcome to the Soneva Fushi Dining experience, it is our aim to give you the opportunity to experience the very best in Food and Beverage available in the Maldives. Together with our Executive Chef, the entire Food and Beverage team have the same objective and that is to meet and exceed your expectations.
Dining options at Soneva Fushi are designed to make your stay on Kunfunadhoo diverse, exciting and slightly adventurous. Our Chef and his multi-national brigade of chef's work to produce a combination of dishes that allow the East to meet the West in culinary terms.
Every effort is made to find ingredients of the highest quality and have them delivered to the island and send as pure and fresh as they might have been served at their origin. With this philosophy in mind our menus benefit from the abundance of fresh fish at the Maldives.
To compliment the dining options, we offer a wine list with an international content that covers many recognised and some unrecognised, wine producing countries in both hemispheres. This mixture of new world wines and good French classics offers you the opportunity to fulfill the dining experience despite both cultural and climate challenges.

Modern Mediterranean a la carte menu A feast for all “Six Senses”. The food has a Mediterranean and seafood influence. The a la carte menu is prepared according to light and healthy cooking methods, using only the best ingredients available. The daily changing “Simply Soneva” menu represents a selection of premium produce, creatively assembled for your dining pleasure.
To enhance your dining experience we host an Asian buffet on Tuesdays and an International BBQ every Saturday evening

International breakfast buffet with live cooking stations; fruit station; comprising of fresh juices and smoothies, collection of Asian dishes including Maldivian specialities, large variety of imported cold cuts and cheese. a la carte breakfast specialities and to top this off, we have a vast selection of fine freshly ground coffee and a range of sumptuous teas.
Lunch: From 12.30pm till 2.30pm (weather permitting)
The lunch is very popular as it comprises a number of live cooking stations, including barbecue, wok, pasta, wood fired pizzas, tandoori oven, extensive salad bar, ice cream parlour, pastry bakery counter, plus an extensive tea and coffee selection.The menu concept here is to keep it light, yet have a very wide variety of lunch specials, cooked a la minute and customized for each guest.

- Fresh in the Garden Restaurant (Reservations recommended)
The Fresh in the Garden Restaurant is near Cinema Paradiso and the tennis court. You will traverse organic fruit and herb gardens, and then climb broad winding stairs to a rope bridge that spans the banana plantation. A panoramic westerly aspect over the gardens and surrounding jungle will afford spectacular views of the sunset.
Lunch : (minimum of six guests)
(Can be opened daily, except Tuesdays) The lunch is purely composed from our organic grown island produce, Maldivian seafood, fruit and vegetables.
Alternatively try a cooking class with our chef in the vegetable garden, where you can enjoy learning about Asian cuisine, and cook your culinary creations using the fresh herbs and spices available at your fingertips. Since we like our classes to be spontaneous, we offer a glass of wine or two to make the cooking a little less stressful!

Offering well balanced cuisine, the dinner comprises a daily changing a la carte menu of five choices per course, in which all the dishes will be created from organic produce. We will also be offering dishes on the menu that are health-conscious, encompassing raw and well balanced cuisine.

Soneva Fushi evolves again to bring something new to the table. Always looking to enhance the culinary experiences the resort is pleased to introduce a Peruvian and Japanese fusion culinary adventure. The menu draws heavily on classic Japanese food with South American influences.
The main inspiration was to focus on the amazing quality of the raw ingredients already abundant in the Maldives such as the local fish delivered daily to the jetty along with some of the organic produce from the garden.
To ensure the hotel got the authenticity correct the hotel is pleased to be able to work with Toshiro Konishi, Japanese born who emigrated to Peru in 1975.
His restaurant in Lima has for many years attracted positive reviews and acclaim as one of the best Sushi restaurants in the world.
You can now try some of his signature dishes and an array of subtle assorted Sashimi, a variety of hand made Niguiri sushi or Maki sushi rolls. Try Toshiro’s special Peruvian Ceviche’s.
With these tempting dishes the resort have also brought to you a selection of the finest Japanese sakes to enjoy, chilled or warm, plum wines and a fine selection of South American wines for your pleasure from Argentina and Chile.Sense by the Beach, is located on the sunset side of the island and is open for dinner.
- In Villa Dining
The resorts entire in villa dining menus can be found under the chapters “In Villa Breakfast”, “In Villa a La Carte”, “In Villa Beverages” and “In and Out of Villa Dining Experiences”. To appreciate the real Soneva way of life, or if you require a custom-tailored programme, you may contact the resorts In Villa Dining Manager or Executive Chef (ext: 3268) for suggestions.
The resorts in villa team also acts as the reservation centre for the various food and beverage activities. The in villa dining team is very mobile, and the resort can cater to most of the resorts guest needs at virtually any location. The sandbank dinners are without doubt a unique experience, but do not forget the resorts garden lunches or cooking classes arranged by the resorts in villa dining team.

- Main Bar
Main Bar and ….So Spiritual All day drinks and snacks from 8am until the last guest leaves.
The main bar is an oasis of calm for reading, a board game, a relaxed game of snooker, recuperation from strenuous spa treatments or even a wi-fi hot spot for sending an email. As the sun sets it becomes an idyllic setting for cocktails and conversation.
The best selection of spirits and liqueurs are available within the resorts stylish white and brown bar “….So Spiritual”. Peruse through one of the biggest collections of spirits within the Maldives.
The resort offer an extensive variety of food throughout the day, not forgetting the cheese and ham gourmet room.
The resort offer cocktail classes at midday in wet weather; this can also be arranged at any other time with your Guest Relations officer.
Whisky tasting is held at 9.30pm hosted by the resorts sommelier, and can be arranged by reservation for other times, everyday except Tuesday. Please make a reservation with your Guest Relations Officer one day prior.

From 5.30pm until the last guest leaves Me Dhuniye bar sits on the sunset side of the island, which is truly the most idyllic place to watch the sun set behind the crystal blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Sunset cocktails on the beach 700 wines are available from the nearby cellar An extensive selection of whisky, rum and aperitifs. 20 wines are available by the glass. Sunset and Cellar Tastings in the Sense by the Beach Pavilion and The Cellar.

- The Cellar
Soneva Fushi has gained worldwide recognition for the unique selection of wines available on this tiny island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Adjacent to Sense by the Beach restaurant, the resorts subterranean Wine Cellar holds up to seven thousand bottles in climate controlled peace.
Cellar visits
At your convenience with 20mins notice. the resort open the cellar for the guests to pick their favourite bottle with the assistance of the resorts Sommelier. Choose any wine and the resort will arrange for it to be served anywhere on the island.
Wine Tastings
Every day, except Tuesday and Saturday, from 6.30pm (minimum of six guests) (Please confirm your reservation the day before)
Explore some of over 700 different labels at a wine tasting in the cellar. Six wines are tasted together with an assortment of amuse bouche. Join the resorts Sommelier in the cellar for an extended aperitif and find something similar, familiar, or broaden your horizons with something new.
* these evenings are an interactive discussion of six bottles with selected canapés to match the wines and the resorts location. It is all the more enjoyable for the diversity of interests that gather around the tasting table. Thus, a minimum of six guests will have confirmed a reservation with Guest Relations before a tasting will go ahead. Cancellations after 3pm on the day of the tasting will be charged at sixty US dollars per guest.
Wine Dinners
Every day, with a minimum of four guests from 7pm (Please confirm your reservation the day before). For these indulgent dinners the menus are written after bottles have been selected. the resort create a suitable dish to match both the wine and your occasion. the resorts Executive Chef and Sommelier will arrange to meet with you the day before to discuss your preferences for the menu and wines.

Tuesdays after 8.30pm only Without any doubt, the sandbank is the best location the resort have and is therefore the ideal place for romantic couples or fun loving families.
- For daybreak the resort will organize a luxurious champagne breakfast, in the evening the resort will create a kitchen to prepare your dinner. The various options for dining on the sandbank may be reviewed under the chapter “in and out of villa dining experiences”.

Lie back under the stars and snack on popcorn, Soneva ice cream and a wide selection of beverages, whilst you enjoy a showing of one of the silver screen’s classics. the resort would be delighted to provide any special food and beverage requests for your enjoyment.

Dinner: Pre-arrange a romantic candlelight dinner, set menu or gourmet BBQ in front of your villa with the resorts in villa service team. At your leisure, you will wine and dine with the sounds of the ocean and the overhead stellar show to entertain. For the ultimate indulgence you can retire to your sun beds for dessert and after dinner drinks to savour the evening sky.
