- Sports & Activities
One & Only offers a host of activities on and offshore, including tennis, beach football and volleyball, table tennis and indoor games. Pros are available for lessons and as playing partners on request. Guests can choose from numerous excursions: deep-sea fishing, sunset dhoni fishing, dolphin watching, deluxe "desert island" picnics and cultural visits to local islands.
Woven hammocks are placed around the island, for guests to relax in and read the days away. The boutique offers a wide variety of items and extends onward to the library for those seeking quiet enrichment. Live music is an integral part of the evening's entertainment. Children and Teens are fully catered to with special age appropriate clubs: Kids Only & Club One.

The resort is always buzzing with the energy of island life, and there are dozens of activities to choose from every day. Excitement is just beyond the doorstep of each villa with beach volleyball, football, Pétanque and croquet. Bicycling and jogging are great ways to explore the island’s 44 hectares.
- Tennis
The renowned Peter Burwash Tennis Academy challenges players with professional coaching offered on two floodlit synthetic grass courts atop a sand surface. Individual and group instruction, following the Peter Burwash method, is available for a fee. Coaches are also available as playing partners, and are happy to arrange social play. Hours of operation, Daily from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
- Water Sports
Acclaimed for its rare underwater beauty and Technicolor coral reefs, the Maldives is home to some of the world’s best snorkelling and dive sites… many guests visit simply to explore the amazing tropical wonders of the Indian Ocean. Embark on a dolphin-watching expedition, glide over crystalline waters on a catamaran, or soar into the sky on a parasailing adventure. Other water sports on offer include banana tube rides, canoeing, kayaking, jet-skiing, water-skiing and windsurfing. Enjoy island hopping and cocktail cruises or set out on a big game deep-sea fishing excursion.
Power Sports
Water-skiing, speed boat hire, parasailing and wakeboarding are just some of the exciting power sports available at the Water Sports Centre, with expert tuition to help guests get started.
- Diving and snorkelling
Centre is open daily from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm.Thilas, giris, reefs, drop-offs, corners, channels, wrecks – and visibility of up to 50 metres – make this a wonderful and totally safe place to learn to dive, and an equally rewarding centre for further exploration by the already qualified. Shark dives, the 1981 wreck of the Maldive Victory, the Rasfari protected marine area and some excellent turtle and ray viewing are highlights. At the Reethi Rah Dive Centre, a team of experts offer a wide range of PADI-certified dive programmes for adults and children as young as 8 years old, including a complimentary daily orientation dive. A PADI Open Water Dive qualification can be achieved during a one-week stay. “Bubblemaker” lessons for younger kids and Discover Scuba programs for pre-teens and older are also available. Underwater scooters, digital cameras and camcorders are available for personal use. The Reethi Rah Dive Centre operates two luxury Dive Dhonis, comlete with sun decks, hot showers, robes and refreshments. - Pools and Beaches
With 12 beaches and 40 pools, water sports abound on this island paradise. For more relaxing pursuits, guests may bask in the carved stone bed of the lap pool which stretches out into the ocean, cool in the main pool under swaying palms, or simply indulge in a day of seclusion at a private villa pool or personal stretch of sandy beach. The main pools are located near Reethi Restaurant. The adult-only lap pool extends 30 metres out into the lagoon and features a unique bubble bed at one end, while the freeform infinity-edge pool has an internal Jacuzzi and islands. Children have their own pool at KidsOnly, which is supervised at all times by a certified lifeguard.

North Male Tour
North Malé Atoll is alive with possibilities for those who wish to explore a little further afield. Day-trips off the island include traditional handline fishing aboard a Maldivian dhoni, luxury atoll cruising in One&Only’s 55-foot yacht (with snorkelling stops and some unique surprise refreshments breaks), private island picnics on the perfectly secluded ‘Robinson Crusoe’sandbank, epicurean cruising with champagne and caviar, seaplane flights or big game fishing – catch yellow fin tuna, wahoo, and marlin. Sunset Sandbank Experience
Experience the thrill of a private tiny desert island, surrounded by the crystal clear waters and coral reefs of the Indian Ocean. Snorkel in the unbelievably warm sea, and discover an abundance of marine life: a multitude of colourful fish, manta rays, barracudas and even turtles. Traditional sunset sailing
Enjoy an evening cruise on our traditional sailing Dhoni, an ideal activity for families, couples and groups of friends. Local island experience: During a visit to the neighbouring island of Dhifushi, gain insights into the local culture and Maldivian way of life. An island representative personally escorts guests around the island on a tour offering glimpses of locals building traditional boats, children at play, and a visit to the speciality shops for local arts and crafts. Enjoy some delightful Maldivian dancing and tea by the beach. There will be plenty of time afterwards for snorkelling, swimming or simply soaking up the sun. At the end of the day, watch the sunset on the horizon of the great Indian Ocean.
