The Meeru Water Sports Centre is well equipped for wind surfing. Boards and sails suitable for beginners and advanced surfers are available. In addition to this we have children's equipment. The conditions at Meeru are ideal for to learn wind surfing. Courses are conducted in English. Catamarans and canoes are also available for your enjoyment and fun, including Kayaks, and Glass Bottom Boat.
- Ocean-Pro Dive Centre
Allow yourself to glide through the deep blue waters of the Indian Ocean discovering the beauty of the aquatic world! The OCEAN-PRO Dive Team in Meeru welcomes all guests who not only want to enjoy the luxury of the beautiful dive sites around North Male Atoll, but are also looking for something special.
The centre offer an interesting variety of courses from novice right through to expert courses that are not available everywhere.
We are confident that at least one of these will fulfill your dreams!
All equipment necessary for diving or snorkeling can be rented at the dive centre. The equipment is checked, serviced and replaced regularly insuring that everything is always up to date. The spacious wet room allows individual storage of both rental and personal diving equipment.
- Snorkeling
Meeru is surrounded by a big, beautiful lagoon. There is no typical house reef and so all dives are boat dives. The lagoon is home to a great variety of marine life, with interesting coral formations and colourful fish life in shallow water. It is perfect for snorkelers and for diver training.

1.5 Kilometers of Beautiful White Sand Beach, a Magnificent Lagoon and plenty of Good Snorkeling. A Sparkling Clear Fresh Water Swimming Pool overlooking the Beach with a Children’s Wading Pool. Island Hopping Trip To The Southern Part Of North Male’ Atoll
o (Tuesday 9:00 - 17:00) Visit 4 islands, including a typical local fishing island, a picnic island where you will enjoy a BBQ lunch and have time to snorkel and swim, a resort island and a shopping island…take US$ cash
o Rent snorkeling equipment from the Dive Center for US$8 per person or purchase it from the Gift Shop
o The required clothing to be worn when visiting a local island, at the minimum is a t-shirt with short sleeves; and for women, knee length shorts, and for men, shorts
o Minimum 12 persons. A child under 16 must be accompanied by a parent
Snorkeling Boat Trip - House Reef
o (Daily 10:00 - 12:00 & 14:30 - 16:30) Experience the underwater wonderland, transported by Dhoni to a nearby coral reef
o Rent snorkeling equipment from the Dive Center for US$8 per person or purchase it from the Gift Shop
o Remember not to touch the coral or any other marine creatures! It is illegal to collect live shells or coral

Kagi Island Excursion To Kagi & Eriyadhoo
o (Friday 9:00 - 17:00) Snorkeling Excursion where we visit 2 islands; 1 resort (Eriyadhoo) and one uninhabited Island (Kagi) where you will enjoy a BBQ lunch and have time to snorkel and swim…

Dhiffushi Island Trip

“Love Boat” Daysail Cruise
o (9:00 - 18:00) Enjoy a wonderful day sail aboard a classic motor sailor yacht. Sunbathe, snorkel, fish, and if you are lucky…photograph a group of dolphins and swim with Manta Rays…
o A buffet lunch, drinks, and a sunset cocktail are included

Sunset ‘Punch’ Cruise:
o (Monday, Thursday & Saturday 17:00 - 18:30) Enjoy a late afternoon boat trip on a local Dhoni while watching a beautiful tropical sunset, with a glass of special punch in hand...and if you’re lucky, some dolphins may join in the fun!

Male’ Sightseeing Trip
o (Thursday 13:00 - 18:00 & Sunday 8:00 - 13:00) Photograph the sights in the Capital including the traditional Fish Market, the Fruit and Vegetable Market, The President’s Palace, the Islamic mosque, and the Sultan’s Park
