You can play tennis or relieve stress at the gymnasium while taking a dip at the swimming pool. The island's water sports center offers sailing, water skiing, catamaran sailing, windsurfing, and water skiing for the adventurous.
You can also simply relax by snorkeling around the home reef of Kuramathi, or set sail on a romantic sunset cruise. Excursions and island hopping are golden opportunities for you to visit nearby and faraway islands, either to get a taste of the native island culture of Maldives or for a deserted barbecue in an uninhabited Robinson Crusoe island.
For recreation the island offers:
Fishing, Private Picnic on a Desert Island, Diving School, Canoes/Kayaks, Volleyball, Catamaran Sailing, Waterskiing, Tennis, Table Tennis, Windsurfing, Morning Fishing.
Diving
The abundant fish life and the colourful corals set Maldives apart from other popular diving destinations. On Kuramathi, you find two fully equipped dive centres offering a wide range of underwater adventures. Qualified multilingual instructors guide and assist you, whether you are already a seasoned diver or a novice. Participate in a wide range of PADI certified diving courses or join our daily dives exploring the amazing dive sites around Kuramathi or within Rasdhoo Atoll.
Water Sports
Experience fun and adventure! Take part in a wide range of non-motorised water sports including windsurf, catamaran sailing, canoeing or glass bottomed canoes. If you need something more thrilling, try some of our motorised water sports such as water ski, wake board or exhilarating banana rides. The Water Sports centre also offers a variety of excursions on a catamaran or aboard a traditional Maldivian Dhoni or motorboat.
Sports Centre
The Sports Centre provides an excellent opportunity for you to keep fit whilst on holiday. It features a fully equipped gymnasium with all modern fitness equipment. The sports centre also includes a floodlit tennis court, fresh water swimming pool, children’s pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, and pool bar. A second fresh water infinity-edged pool is located near Fung bar.
Excursions
A full range of excursions are available including Island Hopping, Snorkelling Safari, Visit to neighbouring inhabited island Rasdhoo, Sunset Cruise, Coral Romance and Big Game Fishing. Kuramathi fully supports ‘tag and release’ policies in Big Game Fishing. We are also one of very few resorts which do not offer Night Fishing as an excursion. We take pride in our decision and our part to protect our pristine surroundings.
