Chaaya Island Dhonveli formerly known as Tari Village is one of the Worlds famous surfing resorts and the island has the privilege of hosting may world class surfing competitions. Island-hopping tours and shopping/sightseeing trips to the main island can be booked at the resort for an extra charge. Scuba diving courses and trips to some of the best dive sites in the Maldives can be arranged by the resort's own dive operator.
Note: All surfurs should be buying the surf packages through Atoll Travel Australia and individual surfers are strictly prohibited to visit the island and surf on or from the island.

Daily boat trip to explore the best coral reefs around the Resort together with our local guide.
- Surfing
Pasta Point, the region's most consistent break, is just a minute's walk from your room. (Check the Chaaya Dhonveli Gallery)
Other classic breaks - Sultans, Honky's and Jailbreak - are less than ten minutes away by boat. You can see the waves from Chaaya Dhonveli, so you'll know when they're pumping.
Boats are available throughout the day, from 6am for those who want a solid session before breakfast. We make morning and afternoon trips to Chickens and Colas (about 45 minutes away) when conditions are favourable.
All boats have radio communication with each other and the island, for the latest information on surf conditions and surfer numbers, and as a safety precaution.

Himmafushi / Huraa Island
A wonderful opportunity to have a first-hand experience on the local life and also to do some shopping.
Male' Shopping and Sightseeing
Guided visit to the capital city of Male. Visits to the fish market, the market selling local products, the Hukuru Miskiiy (the oldest Maldivian mosque) and the Islamic Center.
BBQ at Kuda Bandos Island
A full day outing at the beautiful island of Kuda Bandos, situated less than an hour's boat ride from Chaaya Island Dhonveli. Guided snorkeling, a succulent BBQ and sunbathing are the order of the day.
Sunset And Night Fishing
A fascinating boat trip excursion at sunset from the island Chaaya Island Dhonveli for dinner provides a fabulous opportunity to catch big fishes such as groupers, snappers and jacks. You can even enjoy your catch the next day at the buffet!
Dolphin Watching
Nature buffs would love the opportunity to view packs of Dolphins frolicking in the ocean. A boat trip at late afternoon in the ocean channel in front of the island is all that it takes!
Half day Island Hopping
This provides guests a fantastic opportunity to have a look at the other resorts located nearby Chaaya Island Dhonveli, namely Bandos and Paradise Island. Shopping at the nearby Hura Island is also an option.
